Bridges of Wellness is an Emerson Theological Institute Affiliated Center approved to teach classes leading to an Emerson Theological Institute credential or degree.
As such, the curriculum for our classes are aligned with the Emerson Theological Institute to train Religious Science Practitioners and Ministers as well as train for Master and Doctorate degrees In Religious Studies provided by the Emerson Theological Institute. Above all, these classes are to deepen and inspire your personal soul journey in a setting of encouragement, and love.
New Thought classes are rooted in the teachings of the Transcendentalists; Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Walt Whitman, Nathaniel Hawthorne and many more appearing at the end of the 19th into the 20th Century.
These were men and women that challenged the traditional, fundamentalist thinking and drew upon the teachings of the ancient mystics. These great minds inspired the unfolding of Religious Science, Unity, Divine Science and the deeper study of metaphysics.
Ernest Holmes, in the “Science of Mind” Text states: “This is the simple meaning of true metaphysical teaching, the study of Life and the nature of the Law, governed and directed by thought; always conscious that we live in a spiritual Universe; that God is in, through, around and for us. There is nothing supernatural about the study of Life from the metaphysical viewpoint. That which today seems to us supernatural, after it is thoroughly understood will be found spontaneously natural.” 27:5
New Thought teachers and writers of our current times such as Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Emmet Fox, Louise Hay, Joseph Murphy, Caroline Myss, Joel Goldsmith and countless others, enrich our minds and stir our hearts to recognize we are the ones in “authorship” of our lives and as we change our thinking … we change our reality.
